I am in North Carolina! This state is gorgeous.
I recently drove up here for a camp at Duke with my dad. We took advantage of the 7 hour drive and made some stops along the way.
Mainly, these were colleges. I did the “Unofficial College Tour” as I like to call it. We visited 5 stunning universities all that are great schools.
This is a small university that is packed together into a cute town. It looks brand new; everything is clean and modernized. I loved how nature surrounded the campus, there were colorful trees with purple, pink, and yellow flowers. One cool thing I noticed was there were shuttles for students, it seems so convenient and I haven’t noticed it anywhere else.
I also checked out their softball field (fun fact about me: I play softball XD). They had a beautiful field, nice cages, and I really liked the area around it. This college is super cutesy! Check it out!
The only reason I checked this place out was because of Stephen Curry. 😉 JK! I was actually interested in what this place looked like. Like UNC Charlotte, it was small, but looked pretty. I drove by all the fraternity and sorority houses that were all lined up down one road. It must be fun during the school year!
I also checked out the student union. It looks like a great place for students to hang out and study. It is three stories tall, but it was kinda small and I wonder how loud it gets during regular school!!
There is a gate at the front and end of the university (first time I’ve seen it). This looped around the university and kept the campus compact. NATURE WAS EVERYWHERE! This campus was BEAUTIFUL! Trees, flowers, bushes, and every kind of plant grew here! It was so pretty! The church right on campus was super pretty to0!! It defiantly was a focal point of the campus.
A little bit off campus were all the athletic fields. I got to check out the football fields (there was an open gate…)
EVERYTHING was spot on here. I would defiantly check this university out if I were you!
UNC Chapel Hill
The campus was really nice here. It was compact and had a southern twang/colonial age to it. There was one street that has everything on it and was super lively. It kinda had a good hippie feel. I loved it here and can’t wait to come back!
We finally made it! Unfortunately I didn’t get many pictures here! URGH!I had a great camp here and I LOVED THE CAMPUS! It had a Harry Potter feel. One really interesting fact is, the Chapel is at the center of the campus, and to the left there is education and to the right there is friendship/social places and they meet in the middle.
What are your thoughts on these universities? Have you ever been there? Let me know in the comments!
