November is coming up quickly and with it approaching comes my start date of Nanowrimo.
For those of you who don’t know, Nanowrimo stands for National Novel Writing Month. This is a competition against yourself to write about 1500 words a day and end up with 50,000 words/a novel. This is my first time actually participating in it, before I always admired from afar. But now I am ready to push myself to my limits and put a deadline and goal insight.
I am toying with some ideas…I have a few that I like but I already have a work in progress that I’m not sure if I want to continue with. I have some thought out scenes that have been on mind recently, and I want to write those but I also don’t want to ditch my other idea. Ugh…the struggle is real
Write Everyday (at least 1,000 words)
Create a habit
Have a book by the end, or at least half done
I will be typing on Word everyday in the morning to get it done early. Also, the morning is a great time for me to write because the creative juices are flowing. The night is also a good time for me, but if I stay up to late I will be exhausted all throughout school. Are you a night owl or an early bird?
I do have a lot going on this November, so I will have to adjust and adapt to my unpredictable life.
I am so excited to participate in this awesome (and challenging) event! The NaNoWriMo community is so motivational and supportive; I can’t wait to tackle this event and get my book written!
I already feel the adrenaline motivation flowing through me. As most of you know, I love to write. I journal a lot. But, I always felt intimidated and tired by the task of writing a gigantic book. I am going to quit saying, “I’ll write a book when I’m older” because NOW IS THE TIME!
