December 1, 2016

I listened to a lot of great music this month! Some of my top songs were from the albums I had spinning on repeat, but also some are from the concerts I visited! Make sure to check out the SPOTIFY playlist to give these songs a listen!

1.The Greatest by Sia ft. Kendrick Lamar

This is a great song to get pumped up to a game too! Add this to your workout playlist and become the greatest!!

2.Karoke by Smallpools

Aww this song is so cute! It’s catchy tune will have you singing this song in your head for ages! A classic alternative dance song, I can’t get enough of this band!

Wrap your hands around my throat I won’t mind”

4.If I Believe You by The 1975

This is a great song to wind down too. It’s one of my favorite The 1975 song, it’s catchy and relaxing. I love how it is different that other songs, but still has the band’s special touch.

5.The City We Grow by Atlas Genius

“We could start with a motion
I know you can feel the emotion
Let’s not act like we’ve got the time to waste
To thow into this game
We’re not that far away”

6.Strange Love by Halsey

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-6-40-18-pm

This is my first taste of Halsey, and I like it. I’ve been getting more into female singers and I have heard great things about Halsey. I’m not a fan of her hit, Americana, but I love this song!

7.Gives You Hell by All American Rejects

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-6-40-48-pm

This one is an oldie but a goodie. I heard this on the radio when I was driving and I blasted my old stereo loud, singing along to the lyrics we all know by heart. This rediscovery gave me a burst of nostalgia and I could help but be obsessed with it for the rest of the month.

8.Streetfight by Smallpools

“Caught in a street fight
You need a lifeline
Go on, and use me
I’ll be your Bruce Lee”

9.Body Moves by DNCE

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-6-41-57-pm

Yes, a pop song! A guilty pleasure, but when this song comes on Hits 1, I have to sing along with Joe Jonas. Some of the background music reminds me of Send Them Off! by Bastille (am I the only one??) but I also love that song so that’s probably why!

10.Lucky by Jason Mraz ft. Colbie Caillat

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-6-43-05-pm

Who else is in love with Jason Mraz? His voice is like drinking hot chocolate. (I also listened to I’m Yours on a side note, another amazing song) Colbie Caillat is also one of my favorite artists and this duo is AMAZING!!

“Do you hear me, I’m talking to you
Across the water across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I’m trying”

11.Live Like We’re Dying by Kris Allen

This song is also a classic. I got back into this song when one of my friends asked me “how many seconds are in a day?” Immediately, my mind sang this song:

“We only got 86,400 seconds in a day
To turn it all around or to throw it all away
Gotta tell ’em that we love ’em while we got the chance to say,
Gotta live like we’re dying oh”

12.Lift a Sail By Yellowcard

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-6-43-26-pm

If you’ve been reading my blog, you know that I went to Yellowcard’s The Final World Tour. This song left an impact on me, it was beautifully done in concert and made me fall in love with this great song!

“If a cold wind starts to rise,
I am ready now, I am ready now
With the last sail lifted high,
I am ready now, I am ready now”
